During this fast-paced, high-energy session, participants will become more knowledgeable about Texas A&M University—its rich history and traditions, tri-fold mission, core values, organizational structure, and commitment to diversity and inclusion. Through learning what makes Texas A&M unique, participants will walk away with a sense of pride and enthusiasm for being part of the Aggie family. Registration is required. Lunch will be provided.
All newly benefits-eligible employees are encouraged to attend this basic overview of the comprehensive insurance and retirement benefits package offered by the Texas A&M University System. Topics covered include health insurance, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, longevity, and retirement plans. This session is open to any newly benefits-eligible employee; however, it is recommended to be taken within the first month of employment. Registration is required. This session is taught by an HR Benefits Services instructor.
This course was designed for you, the Hiring Supervisor, to provide you with suggestions and resources to help ensure a successful transition for your new employee. By the end of this course you should be able to: describe actions a Hiring Supervisor can take to welcome a new employee; identify resources for helping to integrate a new employee; and develop a plan to provide the best environment for a new employee to succeed in the organization.
