Texas A&M employees have access to various perks, discounts, activities, and assistance. For your convenience, some are highlighted here. But never be afraid to ask local banks, phone service providers, and other vendors for Texas A&M discounts.

Employee Discounts

PerksConnect is a discount savings program for employees of Texas A&M University, where you can find discounts for goods and services from local restaurants and theaters to online purchases, insurance, or health and professional services. There is no fee to join.

Texas Aggie Brand Beef Jerky and more

The Rosenthal Meat Science and Technology Center maintains a retail sales outlet, located on West Campus, to sell meat and dairy products generated by the activities of the Department of Animal Science.

Staff Emergency Fund

Created to help members of the Aggie Family in need, the Staff Emergency Fund (SEF) provides limited financial assistance --- up to $500 --- to staff members of Texas A&M University who are experiencing a temporary hardship due to a significant life event.

The SEF is dependent upon donations to provide assistance. All donations are tax-deductible, so consider one of the multiple options for making a donation today.

World Class Entertainment

OPAS at Texas A&M University presents professional productions of theatre, music and dance programs that enlighten, entertain and inspire.

World Class Art

The J. Wayne Stark Galleries and the Forsyth Galleries present world class art exhibitions in the Memorial Student Center as well as arts education programming such as lectures, workshops, live art demonstrations and more.

Discounted Computer Software

The Software Store provides discounted software to departments, faculty, students, and staff of Texas A&M University and the A&M System. The software can be purchased for personal use. Visit their website for currently available software and prices.

University Libraries

Texas A&M University Libraries are at the hub of the academic universe that is Texas A&M. Over 4 million volumes are held in the collections of the five campus libraries and the Digital Library. These are available to you with your Aggie Card. Many are available online, as an e-book.

Exercise and Physical Fitness

Living Well at Texas A&M is Texas A&M’s official employee well-being program, focusing on community, healthy living, and personal interest. Wellness is about doing more of what makes you feel good and surrounding yourself with a community that helps you make feeling good a priority. They office a wide array of fitness offerings at various times, and at different locations all over campus.

Wellness Release Time provides all full-time, benefits-eligible, Texas A&M employees the opportunity to use 30 minutes of their regular work hours, up to three (3) times a week, to exercise or participate in physical fitness activities.

FITLIFE offers cardiovascular testing and low cost exercise classes through the Applied Exercise Science Laboratory and is open to all faculty and staff. Classes are led by senior-level Applied Exercise Physiology students and are managed by university professors and graduate students.
