This online course was designed for you, the Hiring Supervisor, to provide you with suggestions and resources to help ensure a successful transition for your new employee. By the end of this course you should be able to describe actions a Hiring Supervisor can take to welcome a new employee, identify resources for helping to integrate a new employee, and develop a plan to provide the best environment for a new employee to succeed in the organization. Ensure your newly benefits-eligible employees attend this basic overview of the comprehensive insurance and retirement benefits package offered by the Texas A&M University System. It is recommended to be taken within the first month of employment. Topics covered include health insurance, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, longevity, and retirement plans. Registration is required. This session is taught by an HR Benefits Services representative.
